Barbie Soccer Coach Lgb by Barbara Slate

Why would a Witch who practices magick write something called The Un-Spell Book? To help other magickal people understand that the spellcaster is the true source of magickal power, not fancy props or elaborate rituals. The exercises and techniques in this one of a kind guide will help you understand and master the essentials behind all successful magick--your own focus, will, and energy.

Both beginning spellcasters and experienced Witches who want to boost the success rate of their magickal workings will benefit from this engaging, step by step book. You'll learn how to:

  • Raise, direct, and release energy
  • Clearly define the intent of your spell
  • Choose trigger words that act as magickal shortcuts
  • Empower spells by connecting to many forms of energy
  • Create and use thought constructs
  • Work with elementals

Once you've learned how to direct your own magickal power, you can cast effective spells anytime and anywhere--no spellbook required

Angel Love was developed by Barbara Slate for DC Comics in 1985. She went on to write, draw, and produce Yuppies from Hell and Sweet XVI for Marvel, as well as putting her own twist on Disney classics such as Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, Archie's Betty and Veronica, and Mattel's Barbie. Barbara's unique artwork has been widely displayed, and The New York Times has described it as emphatically of our time. A Century of Women Cartoonists includes a profile of her. Barbara has spoken at ComicCons as a keynote speaker, panelist, and moderator.

In 1976, she developed a greeting card line using her character Liz, which launched her career as a cartoonist. Liz became a regular comic strip for Cosmopolitan magazine and the star of a series of animated pieces on NBC's Today show after appearing on millions of cards. Liz was also featured in the publications Glamour, New Woman, Working Woman, and Self. Barbara has been teaching graphic novel creation in libraries, primary and secondary schools, writers conferences, and colleges since 2007.

You Can Make a Graphic Novel, her textbook, was first published by Alpha/Penguin in 2010, was reprinted as an eBook by Britannica Digital Learning in 2014, and was expanded by Minsky in 2018. It is widely utilized in all stages of education, as well as in home schooling.
