Joseph Wallace has written five previous baseball books, including Grand Old Game: 365 Days of Baseball, produced in conjunction with the National Baseball Hall of Fame, The Autobiography of Baseball (nominated for the Seymour Medal for Best Baseball Book of 1998) and The Baseball Anthology, all for Abrams. He is also the author of many non-fiction books on natural history, medicine and other subjects and recently contributed stories to three mystery anthologies. He lives in New York, USA.
