The United States has named David Goetsch, Ph.D., Technical Instructor of the Year. In 1984, the Department of Education was established. The Florida Vocational Association named him Technical Educator of the Year in 1986. Goetsch is currently vice president and professor emeritus at Northwest Florida State College. He is a member of the American Management Association, the Florida Association of Community Colleges, and the American Society for Quality.
