Jeffrey Liker is a University of Michigan professor of industrial and operations engineering and the president of Liker Lean Advisers, LLC, a group of top-notch lean consultants. He is the author of The Toyota Way, as well as Toyota Way Fieldbook, Toyota Talent, The Toyota Product Development System, Toyota Culture, The Toyota Way to Continuous Improvement, and Toyota Under Fire, which are all international best-sellers. The Toyota Way to Lean Leadership, co-authored with Gary Convis, is his most recent book. Eleven Shingo Awards have been awarded to his essays and books. He enjoys golf, watching football and basketball, and is relearning classical guitar after a 30-year hiatus. His work is supported by his wife Deb while daughter Emma, and his son Jesse is his harshest critic and finest editor.
