Being Safe with People by Honor Head
A simple series of books, empowering younger children aged 5-7 to know how to look after themselves in a variety of everyday situations. Includes tips from 'supermouse' Safety Sam on how to stay safe and how to identify potential dangers. Being Safe with People looks at how to act safely and sensibly with people you meet, whether family, friends or complete strangers. It explains what 'stranger danger' is and gives tips on what to do if you encounter it; it explores what to do if friends are unkind or if you are bullied and it also looks very sensitively at how to deal with inappropriate behaviour from adults, even when you know them.
Honor Head has written books for children of all ages on many subjects, including online safety and cyberbullying. She regularly works at her local museums in Devon organising children's activity days. She also enjoys sitting by the sea in her favourite cafe eating toasted cheese sandwiches and watching the dogs play on the beach.
