Hugh MacDonald is a poet, editor, and author who served as Prince Edward Island's poet laureate from January 2010 to December 2012. His 16th book is As the Stars Will Fall. MacDonald was well-known on the Island as the P.E.I. representative for Random Acts of Poetry, an organization that took poetry to the streets and workplaces across the country. He has won numerous honors, including the L.M. Chung Lee, who loves lobsters, won the Montgomery Children's Literary Prize. He resides in Brudenell, Prince Edward Island.
