Gillian Shields combines her two passions for books and theatre by writing stories and teaching drama. She takes huge inspiration from her experience as a drama teacher, and has written many picture and fiction books for children of all ages. Gillian lives in Sussex with her husband and two children. Georgie Birkett completed her degree in Graphic Design and Illustration at the University of Brighton in 1996. She has since illustrated many books, in various styles, for the educational and young fiction markets, as well as picture books and pre-school novelty books. She lives in East Sussex.
