Melissa spent nine years at CNBC anchoring Power Lunch, The Call, and On the Money before joining Fox. She and Contessa Brewer co-hosted MSNBC's It's the Economy. She has appeared on the Today Show, NBC Nightly News, and Weekend Today, among others. She worked as an actress in a number of films, television shows, and advertisements.

Cassandra Cooper Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie is her most well-known part. Melissa grew up in Los Angeles and graduated with honors from Harvard University with a degree in Economics. Her spouse and three children currently live in Manhattan with her.
