Blue Monster Wants It All! by Jeanne Willis
Blue Monster loves brand new things. A fancy new hat . . . a shiny submarine . . . a fabulous funfair . . . and a paradise island, all of his own. But hes still not happy! What will it take for Blue Monster to realise there are some things that money cant buy?
"A brilliantly written and beautifully illustrated picture book which will make children and grown-ups think" -- David Williams
“…a comic and timely reminder that it doesn’t matter how much you own or how rich you are; a loving family is worth it allA wild and witty adventure with exuberantly naive pictures.” -- The Sunday Times
“ **** Some adults could learn a thing from this heartfelt kids’ book” -- The Sun
"This brilliant book is a fun, original and dynamic way to introduce little ones to the dangers of materialism and to help them understand the priceless value of family love and affection." -- Lancashire Evening Post
"Perhaps it takes a powerful picture book such as this, which has as much to say to adults as to children, to make us all stop and think." -- Jill R Bennett
"This is a fun picture book that teaches children to appreciate what they have and the value of family over materialistic things. In class, I'd use this in a PSHE lesson, to discuss what makes us happy and how important good relationships are. This would also be a good text for KS1 children to re-write about their own monster, as it has a simple structure with good extended sentences as models." -- ReadingZone
"[This] is a picture book that is wonderfully positive." -- Mamma Mummy Mum
"There’s an important life lesson tucked into the pages of this action-packed and very funny picture book." -- LoveReading4Kids
"... a light-hearted and entertaining book with which to teach children about greed, consumerism and that the best things in life cannot be bought." -- The School Librarian
"In our instant gratification materialistic society, it's great to read a book which introduces young ones to the perils of materialism and helps them realise the importance of family." -- Parents in Touch
