Blue was the Colour by Andy Hamilton

A witty, wise and charming take on modern football by Chelsea fan Andy Hamilton, one of the countrys leading comedy writers and stand-ups, and a novelist to boot. It tells of a childhood growing up in the streets surrounding Stamford Bridge and obsessing over Chelsea before he began to question the modern game.

"It's brilliant"

-- Adrian Chiles * BBC Radio 5 Live *

"Loved the book and just about every single sentiment within."

-- Pat Nevin * former Chelsea player *

"Andy Hamilton's recollections and grasp of the vagaries of supporting Chelsea (or any club) and the game over the last six decades are poignant, evocative, sharply assessed and often hilarious."

-- Jon Morris * Backpass magazine *

"As you'd expect from someone of his writing talents, Hamilton's reflections here are witty, thought provoking yet balanced - filled with joy and at times sadness, as well as disappointment and regret - a bit like watching your team really."
