Linda Lawrence Hunt is one of the co-founders of the Krista Foundation for Global Citizenship, which was named after her daughter, who died in a bus accident while undertaking humanitarian work in Bolivia. She has authored or coauthored six books, including the best-selling Bold Spirit: Helga Estby's Lost Pilgrimage through Victorian America. She is a former professor at Whitworth University, a scholar, and a speaker. The Pacific Northwest Booksellers Award, the Washington State Book Award, and the national Willa Cather Award for nonfiction were all given to it.
