The Book of Enoch by Paula Gooder
The Book of Enoch is an invaluable resource for all who are interested in the origins of Christianity. It was known and used by the earliest churches and sheds light on many concepts found in the New Testament, such as demonology, future judgment, the Messiah and the Messianic Kingdom, the title 'Son of Man' and the resurrection. This new edition of R. H. Charles's classic translation includes a substantial new introduction by Paula Gooder.
Dr Paula Gooder is Canon Chancellor at St Paul's Cathedral and a writer and lecturer in Biblical Studies. Her research areas focus on the writings of the apostle Paul, with a particular focus on 2 Corinthians and on Paul's understanding of the body. Her publications include Heaven, Body: Biblical spirituality for the whole person and Searching for Meaning: An introduction to interpreting the New Testament.
