Braque by Georges Braque
Focusing on the French painter, Georges Braque (1882-1963), this is one of a series of illustrated monographs which offer introductions to modern art and artists. Each book presents a profile of the artist and analysis of his distinctive style. Braque was one of the artistic pioneers of the 20th century. Together with his friend Picasso, he is considered a founding father of Cubism, a term first used to describe the fragmented, cube-like forms found in many of his most innovative works. Some of Braque's more inventive techniques included mixing pigment with sand and metal filings, and creating compositions of pasted paper collage, known as "papiers colles".| SKU | Unavailable |
