A story line that will appeal to adults but written at an appropriate level for those who are emerging readers, roughly the level that the National Curriculum would expect at ages 7 to 11. Deals with the key issues of 'identity' and 'father-figures', which will resonate with the target readers, many of whom have grown up without a positive father figure in their lives. The story has parallels with the story of Moses. These can be drawn out in a Christian environment but will not be intrusive for those who want to read the book in a secular setting.
