Bricked Bats by Gian Lombardo

Poetry. BRICKED BATS is simultaneously a poetic examination of the quotidian and the mundane, the use of repetition of image and metaphor, and the ways thought and feeling can be recycled and how metamorphosis can be applied to our patterns of perception. BRICKED BATS is nothing "else than an illegible book portraying an expanse of nothing out of something."

Lombardo, Gian: - Gian Lombardo has published a number of collections of prose poetry, including MACHINES WE HAVE BUILT (Quale Press, 2014), Who Lets Go First (Swamp Press, 2010) and Aid & A Bet (BlazeVOX ebook, 2008). His translation of the first half of Aloysius Bertrand's Gaspard de la nuit was published in 2000, and a translation of Eugü¾Ž†”¼ne Savitzkaya's Rules of Solitude in 2004, as well as translations of Archestratos's Gastrology and Michel Delville's Third Body (both in 2009). He teaches book and magazine publishing at Emerson College where he directs the Literary Publishing Certificate program. He also serves as a member of the James Merrill House Committee.
