The Buildings of Huddersfield by Keith Gibson

Including approx 120 photographs, this book provides an architectural history of Huddersfield. It describes and illustrates around 200 of the attractive structures to be seen in the town. It is a useful guide for those wishing to explore and learn more about Huddersfield's history through its buildings.

Keith Gibson was for many years a planning team leader for Kirklees Council before becoming the Council’s principal historic buildings conservation officer during the 1990s. He is now a writer on waterways and built environment topics. Albert Booth is a retired architectural photographer. For over fifty years he has been studying and photographing buildings in and around Huddersfield. He gives popular illustrated talks on the architecture of the town and on the building stones of the West Yorkshire Pennines.
