
The Cappadocians by Anthony Meredith
The Cappadocians are the 4th-century writers St Basil the Great, St Gregory Nazianzus and St Gregory of Nyssa. They were central to the defence of Christian Orthodoxy and should be of interest to students of the early Church.
Anthony Meredith SJ was for many years a member of the Faculty of Theology at Oxford and Tutor in Patristics at Campion Hall. He also taught at Heythrop College, University of London. He is the author of The Cappadocians (1998) and Gregory of Nyssa (1999).
