Special Edition. 612 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt titles to spine. Volume III. Includes B&W illustrations throughout. Includes colour illustrated plates. All text block edges gilt. Pages are rather marked with pronounced sporadic tanning and foxing, plus thumbing. Slight gutter cracking. Binding is firm. Foxing and tanning more noticeable towards start and end of book and on text block edges. Text block edges are a little dusty and worn with minor scratches. Tissue guards tanned. Boards have some edge wear, with slight bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are moderately crushed and rubbed. Slightly scratched, rubbed and marked overall. A few liquid droplet marks and mild stains. Boards are slightly bowed. Book has a moderate forward lean. Gilt is bright.
