A Century of Chatham by Philip Macdougall
A history of Chatham
PHILIP MACDOUGALL first moved to the Medway area in 1972 when he took up a teaching post at the Hundred of Hoo School. From that time onwards he has devoted much of his time to studying Chatham's past, at first concentrating on the dockyard, but eventually becoming fascinated with the town itself. Philip's earlier books have included The Book of Medway, The Chatham Dockyard Story and Chatham Dockyard in Old Photographs.
