Derek Walters is an expert in traditional Chinese culture and the author of several books on Chinese astrology, feng shui, and other parts of Chinese philosophy. He travels to the Far East frequently and is a member of the Purple Mountain University's Scientific Organizing Committee for international symposia on Chinese Astronomy and Traditional Culture, as well as an honorary member of the Society of Diviners in Hong Kong. Derek, while being formally retired, continues to lecture in Germany and has established courses in Russia and the post-Soviet states.
