Christopher Henry Perkins has been involved in Numismatics since he was a young street urchin, prowling the (now, often long forgotten) coin shops, looking for coins and input. He now runs an extensive website on current UK coins - checkyourchange.co.uk. He hates media coin hype, detests the often quite misleading and hard-sell sales pitches used by certain sellers of modern medallions, posing as coins and can't stand badly researched, regurgitated tabloid coin features His books attempt to put the rumours straight without getting into a frenzy. He can sometimes come over a little blunt, even after several editorial waves of toning it down a bit for print!
