The last place police Detective Porter Sienna wanted to investigate a murder was the upper-class neighborhood she grew up.

A prominent local businessman is found dead at the Greensburg Country Club and when police Detective Porter Sienna arrives to investigate, the former debutante is forced to contend with the same people she turned her back on seven years earlier.

Compounding her discomfort, Porter encounters club member Elaine Jessup, whose frank appraisal and direct approach in asking her out both confuses and excites her. Russell Miller is a prize-winning journalist who has written eleven books. He was born in 1938 in east London and began his journalism career at the age of sixteen. He received four press awards and was named Writer of the Year by the Society of British Magazine Editors while working for the Sunday Times Magazine. His book Magnum, about the famed photo agency, was hailed as the best photo-journalism book I've ever read by John Simpson, and his oral histories of D-Day, Nothing Less Than Triumph, and SOE, Behind the Lines were extensively praised in the UK and the US.
