Company Law Handbook by Stephen M Griffin
This new handbook provides a detailed account of company law in the context of the Companies Act 2006. Although the book covers the regulation of both private and public companies, it deals in particular with the law relating to private companies. The book highlights and explains the extensive reforms made by the Companies Act 2006 in a comprehensive and clear manner. Detailed, practical and readable, the Company Law Handbook: outlines the new registration procedures; discusses the new constitutional structures; includes discussion of the reform of directors' duties; explains the new statutory derivative action; provides commentary on the reform of the auditing system; has a discrete chapter dealing with taxation issues; and, covers the new corporate manslaughter legislation.
