The Author: Michael Oppenheim is an associate professor and the Chair of the Department of Religion at Concordia University in Montreal. He has published a number of articles in the areas of modern Jewish philosophy and contemporary Jewish identity, and is the author of What Does Revelation Mean for the Modern Jew? He received his Ph.D. from the University of California. Michael Oppenheim is the father of two spirited preteenage children, David and Aaron.
