Elliott Parris is the chair of the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Human Services and former Interim Dean of the College of Professional Studies at Bowie State University. He holds Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in sociology from UCLA and a B.A. with honors in English from the University of London. As an undergrad, he attended the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica.
