Robert Goodman was born and raised in Beverly Hills, California. He attended Beverly Hills High School and graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in political science. He earned a PhD in political science from the University of California at Los Angeles. Dr. Goodman taught political science at at the University of Southern California from 1968 to 1873. He and his family immigrated to Israel in 1973, and he taught in the philosophy department of the University of Haifa from 2000 to 2015. He is the author of the book Thought and Doing and is the co-author of the book Deadlock in School Desegregation. Dr. Goodman is the co-editor of Good Gossip and Rethinking Knowledge. He resides in Herzliya, Israel.
