Contented Dementia by Oliver James
Dementia is a little understood and currently incurable illness, but much can be done to maximise the quality of life for people with the condition. This work outlines the SPECAL method (Specialized Early Care for Alzheimer's) for managing dementia that can allow both sufferer and carer to maintain the highest possible quality of life.
Oliver James trained and practised as a clinical child psychologist and, since 1988, has worked as a writer, journalist, broadcaster and television documentary producer and presenter. He is a trustee of the Alzheimer's charity, SPECAL (Specialized Early Care for Alzheimer's) and lives in Oxfordshire with his wife and two small children.
