
Cheryl A.Wall is an English professor at Rutgers University and a literary critic. She specializes on the Harlem Renaissance and Zora Neale Hurston, as well as black women's writing. Crossing the Line: African Women Writers, Lineage, and Literary Tradition, as well as Women of the Harlem Renaissance, among her works. She is also the editor of several volumes of Hurston's writings for the Library of America. She also serves on the editorial boards of American Literature, The African American Review, and Signs, and is a section editor for The Norton Anthology of African American Literature.
