The Court Martial by John Hollands

Here is an authentic and action-packed account of the disastrous retreat from the Manchurian border and the horrific battle that followed on the River Imjin. It is the story of a regiment plagued by internal conflict and it culminates in an officer being charged with rape. His court-martial is among the most remarkable ever portrayed, and the gripping and intriguing ending has a twist of irony that will never be forgotten.
"'It is only when people as courageous as Hollands dare to write the truth about war that the miracle will come when it will be no more' - Daily Express 'Sincere, conscientious and factual' - Telegraph"
John Hollands was born in London in 1933 and educated at Blundell's School in Devon. During his army national service he served as a platoon commander with the Duke of Wellington's Regiment in Korea where he was awarded the Military Cross for gallantry. He is the author of numerous novels, the most notable being his best-seller, The Dead, the Dying and the Damned. He now splits his time between Devon and Tenerife.
