Creating Sketchbooks by Kay Greenless
Today the embroiderer's sketchbook, ideas book or journal is a work of art in itself. It includes initial concept material, design, colour work, textile samples, stitches and three-dimensional pieces. Beautiful in itself, the embroiderer's sketchbook can also be a jumping off point for larger works.
Kay Greenlees is an experienced textile artist and teacher, teaching and exhibiting both in the UK and internationally. She joined Bretton Hall College of the Arts in 1990, leading the renowned teacher training course and teaching BA and MA textile design.
