This delightful book features 40 original pieces that are easy to make - even if you have never crocheted before. Choose from multi-coloured bead and crochet necklaces; lacy spiderweb chokers; delicate yarn and wire bracelets; fun and funky cherry earrings; pretty mohair flower pins; elaborate cocktail rings embellished with beads and stones. Experiment with a range of materials, from sumptuous ribbon and eyelash yarns to silver and gold wire, and find out how to decorate your finished piece with beads, crystals, ribbons, feathers, embroidery, and silk flowers. All the core techniques are demonstrated with step-by-step photographs, from working basic stitches to adding finishings and findings, and each design includes a recipe of ingredients, suggested colour palette, and easy-to-follow instructions.Oct 07
If you don't associate crochet with jewellery, then it is time to update your jewellery box with some contemporary piecesIt doesn't matter if you can't yet crochet either as you can learn all that and more in here…
…This truly is that rara avis, a book that both teaches the beginner and provides plenty to interest intermediate and advanced crafters. This is partly due to the novelty of the subject, but also to do with the variety of projects and the quality of the instructions. Many beginners' questions get answered in here, along with plenty of advice about what to buy and what to expect from it. The projects themselves are very up-to-date, and range from the quirky to the classic with plenty in between. It is a pity that the cover necklace is not slightly less idiosyncratic but maybe this is merely an indication of the groundbreaking stuff inside? Mostly what I have for the book is praise, and there is such a variety of crochet methods covered, including using a hairpin loom and a large variety of different materials (mostly not too expensive). The best thing to do is have a look at this book yourself - if you are at all interested in crochet or jewellery making you are bound to be impressed.

With over 40 bright and beautiful pieces to make, this book is perfect for anyone who loves using their crafting skills to stand out from the crowd. There's a great choice of styles for you to try, based on which materials you'd like to crochet with.
Get a classy look by mixing beads with wire or go for yarn-inspired pieces. We love the on-trend multicoloured necklace on the cover for its fun and funky look. Eight designers have contributed to this collection, so there's lots of variety when it comes to projects. Don't worry if you've never crocheted jewellery before - the first chapter will help you familiarise yourself with the broad range of materials and techniques available, and you'll soon be producing stunning pieces.

The first section of this softback book is a detailed and clear course on crochet for beginners and improvers.
Materials, equipment and tension are all described, compared and illustrated in the first part of the book.
The instructions are illustrated clearly with photographs of hands carrying out the task. It covers all aspects of crochet including working with wire and hairpin crochet.
This is a well thought out and excellently explained publication.
Eight designers have contributed a wide range of patterns and techniques for the main section of this book. There are four chapters of patterns, also well photographed and clearly explained. These include necklaces, bracelets, watch straps, brooches and earrings. Each pattern has additional advice on adaptations and fastenings. I was very disappointed with the designs.

The clear instructions on basic stitches and easy to follow pictures make this a gem of a book. There are forty unique designs for crochet jewellery, ranging from easy to intermediate to advanced, so there is a wide choice availabe.
