Crocodile by Karen Wallace
This brilliantly original picture book plunges the reader into the steamy, swampy world of a mother crocodile - hungry and dangerous, but tender and protective to her new babies. Mike Bostock's bold and vivid illustrations perfectly complement Karen Wallace's lyrical text to capture the spirit of the crocodile and its environment.
Habitats are strongly realised in words and pictures.. A number of the pictures have the kind of detail and drama that encourage talk and reflection * Books for Keeps *
Beautiful soft colours and simple text. * Carousel *
