The Curated Closet by Anuschka Rees
A practical and inspirational roadmap on how to cultivate a strong sense of personal style and build the perfect wardrobe.Thoughtful approaches to minimalism and mindfulness in the home are in vogue. Popular Berlin-based blogger Anuschka Rees has created a fascinatingly strategic, prescriptive approach to identifying, refining, and expressing personal style and building the perfect wardrobe to match it, as well as addressing style and shopping strategies that women can use every day. A thoughtful, minimal approach to style is trending in the fashion world, as seen with rising popularity of capsule wardrobes (i.e. paring down one's entire seasonal wardrobe to a small number of pieces, usually 20-30) and on style tastemakers and icons such as Emmanuelle Alt, Alexa Chung, and Jenna Lyons. Including beautiful 4-color style photography, infographics, and workbook-style activities, Personal Style is a beautiful and incredibly useful guide covering everything you need to know to fully realize your sense of style and create the perfect wardrobe.
Anuschka Rees is a writer, a former beauty enthusiast, and an ex-serial dieter. She spent most of her twenties attempting to cure yet another imagined imperfection, researching diets, and comparing herself to attractive people on Instagram, despite growing up in an era of female empowerment and body positivity. She eventually decided to put her INTJ brain to work and see if she could come up with concrete, actionable advise for other women with fears that are preventing them from living their best lives. The Curated Closet, Anuschka's debut book, was a hit and has been translated into five languages. With her animals, books, and partner, she lives in Berlin, Germany.
