The GUMDROPS for MOPET TOPS series of CVC Storybooks is intended to be used by teachers in primary classrooms. SET 2 is the second anthology in the series. Teachers may make as many copies as needed for the students in their class to use at school and at home. The booklets are easily assembled by photocopying and then cutting, folding, and stapling the pages together. Lesson Plans and a two-page follow up Independent Practice Worksheet for each booklet are also included in this attractively bound Blackline Master set.

This anthology contains:

* 15 Booklets (to reproduce double sided)
* 15 Lesson Plans, each with a Sequence of Instruction and Comprehension Questions
* 15 two-page Independent Practice Worksheets

Each individual CVC Storybook booklet features:

* Consonant-Vowel-Consonant (CVC) words only
* One word per page
* Words with the same medial vowel; initial and final consonants vary
* Twelve pages per book
* A front cover with title and author
* A back cover with a list of all CVC words in the book
* A distinct story linked to the other books by character, place, and format
* Illustrations drawn by hand (with a little digital editing.)

The CVC Storybooks in this series were specifically written to help teachers teach CVC decoding, blending, segmenting, and word recognition.

These learning materials are suited for pre-k, kindergarten, the initial months of first grade, and for struggling readers at any grade level.
