Alex Marwood is the pen name of a British journalist who has worked significantly in the media. Her first novel, The Wicked Girls, was nominated for the Macavity Award for Best Mystery Novel and the Anthony and ITW Awards for Best Paperback Original, and won the Edgar Award for Best Paperback Original. Her second novel, The Killer Next Door, earned the Macavity Award for Best Mystery Novel, was nominated for the Anthony and Barry Awards, and James Franco and Ahna O'Reilly optioned it for cinema. The Darkest Secret, her third novel, was released in 2016. Marwood resides in the London Borough of Southwark.
