The Day the Sky Opened by Andrew Guyatt
How it might well have been - a warts-and-all novel about Noah and the ark, about judgement and a fresh start for God's world. Rooted in Genesis, this novel describes the brutal, idolatrous society opposing Noah's devotion to 'the Holy One' and the year-long ordeal in the great boat; a book bringing alive the great biblical themes of judgement and grace.
Born in Carshalton, Surrey, Andrew Guyatt read science at the University of London, was a research assistant at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, and a postdoctoral fellow at the Universities of Florida and Edinburgh, before spending 15 years investigating the effects of smoking at the Midhurst Medical Research Institute in West Sussex.
