This book invites Muslims and non-Muslims to acquaint themselves with the prophet's sunnah (practice and teachings) and inspires them to follow it with sincerity and devotion. The ahadith have been selected from well-known collections of hadith-literature to present a composite picture of the life of the Prophet described in the Qur'an as the best model for humanity.
Ahmad Von Denffer was born in Germany in 1949. He studied Islamic and social anthropology at the University of Mainz. He was at the Islamic Foundation, Leicester as Research Fellow in 1978-1984. He is currently working with the Islamic Centre, Munich, Germany. His other publications include: Literarture on Hadith in European Languages: A Bibliography; a German translation of Nawawi's Forty Hadith; A Day With the Prophet in both English and German; and other works
