Dead Fix by Douglas Stewart

Some lessons can't be learned in a classroom.

A seminary education is immensely valuable, offering theological preparation, spiritual formation, and wise mentoring. But many new pastors are discouraged when the realities of their first call don't line up with what they came to expect from assigned readings and classroom discussions.

Bridging the gap between seminary training and real life in a local church, fifteen veteran pastors and ministry leaders offer advice and encouragement related to a host of real-world issues, such as leading congregations through seasons of suffering, handling conflict, accepting a call, leaving a church, and more.

Born in Scotland, Douglas was brought up in England and became a London-based international lawyer, later living and practising in the USA. In tandem, he developed a successful career as a widely read author of mystery thrillers and non-fiction with a chart-topper and a WH Smith Paperback of the Week to his credit. Currently, Douglas is working on a series of international mystery thrillers involving a London-based detective, Todd Ratso Holtom. Following on from the success of Ratso in Hard Place published in 2015, the second in the Ratso series and called DEAD FIX will soon be released. Douglas is now working on the third in the series. Meantime, DEADLINE VEGAS, a stand-alone thriller, involving corruption in the casino world is also due for publication. Douglas has written some dozen books and been published both in English and German languages. Additionally, he has contributed to a number of compendiums including M.O published through the Crime Writers Association. His short story called INSCRUTABLE opened the acclaimed Number One anthology called Capital Crimes. TERROR AT SEA, his true-crime book on modern-day piracy rose to number 4 on Amazon and was hailed as the benchmark on crime at sea. Douglas's books have attracted media interest and the Ratso storylines are currently with well-known producers considering a TV series. A stand-alone screenplay is also under active investigation by a director for a movie. Douglas is a member of the Crime Writers Association and also of the International Thriller Writers of the USA. Douglas has been a TV and radio broadcaster for many years and a motivational speaker for aspiring authors in the UK and USA. After originally adopting the pen-name Cameron Ross, Douglas now writes under his own name. He is married with three children.
