Dead Man's Bend by Alan Combes
This is a gritty novel sequence in which the Dead Man uses his ghostly powers to intervene on earth to prevent or revenge crimes. In "Dead Man's Bend", a young man killed in a stolen car returns as a ghost to wreak revenge. Barrington Stoke specialises in books for reluctant, struggling and dyslexic readers.
Alan Combes began writing as a teacher and has since combined a 30-year teaching career with success as a writer, both as an author and as a football journalist for newspapers such as The Sunday Times. His other titles for Barrington Stoke include City Boy and The Dead Man Files. He lives in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
