Larson is the YA fantasy Defy series and Dark Breaks the Dawn duology's bestselling and critically regarded author. She can't remember not writing books, albeit she now uses a computer rather than a Little Mermaid notebook. Sara, her husband, their four children, and their Maltese, Loki, live in Utah.
