Developing Emotional Literacy with Teenage Girls by Tina Rae

This ten-session program improves adolescent girls confidence, self-esteem and self-awareness, encouraging students to develop problem-solving strategies about peer pressure, sex, substance abuse, and being a parent.
′Highly accessible, it confronts sensitive issues on the language used by young peopleThe activity sheets on emotional literacy are particularly valuable in breaking down difficult concepts into clear statements that can be easily understood... Provocative and informative, it contains a wealth of material that could be expanded far beyond a ten-week course... Emotional Literacy for Teenage Girls is highly recommended because it reminds us of the power that schools possess to promote self-awareness and mutual understanding between the sexes′ - Support For Learning
