Dr Mushtaq Haroon, born in Pakistan, is an academician and educationist while being a consultant/professor in medicine for over 30 years. He has 25 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and published ten medical books as first author. After graduation and training from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore he passed MRCP in 1988 and was awarded FRCP London in 2000. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for the most distinguished Iqbalian for professional excellence by the Chief Minister of Punjab in Dec 2008. He is presently consultant in Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute and Research Centre, Lahore Pakistan.
