Dinosaurs: the Real Monsters by Dougal Dixon

Presents information about some of the giant meat- and plant-eating dinosaurs that roamed the Earth during the Triassic, Jurrassic, and Cretaceous periods, up to 225 million years ago.

Dougal Dixon attended the University of St Andrews in Scotland, where he studied geology and paleogeography. He is an award-winning author who specializes in earth sciences and evolution and has written numerous children's books and encyclopedias. He's developed a reputation for presenting things in a unique way. His most prominent writings in this regard are After Man: A Zoology of the Future, in which he explained the workings of evolution by speculating on the types of animals that may emerge in the future, and The New Dinosaurs, in which he discussed the zoogeography of the planet by speculating on what life might be like today if dinosaurs had not gone extinct.
