The Dog Chapel by Stephen Huneck

In celebration of the bond between humans and their canine companions, The Dog Chapel gives readers an introduction to Stephen Huneck, his woodcuts and sculpture, and the chapel he built for dogs in St Johnsbury, Vermont, USA.

Stephen Huneck was an internationally famous painter, sculptor, and printer, as well as the bestselling and award-winning author of seven prior Sally adventures. The American Folk Art Museum and the Smithsonian American Art Museum both have his work in their collections. In St. Louis, he lived with his wife, Gwen, and their four dogs. His Dog Chapel is located near Dog Mountain in Johnsbury, Vermont. Huneck was inspired to write these stories by his own dog, Sally. Huneck passed away in 2010.
