Judith Pearson's literary career began in a tree: a lovely old maple in her parents' backyard, complete with a great branch to sit on. She began writing her thoughts on current events and life in general there as a teenager. This Michigan native is still writing after hundreds of thousands of words. Pearson, a Michigan State University alumnus, has nearly a hundred newspaper and magazine articles to his credit. She has also written two biographies, BELLY OF THE BEAST: A POW's INSPIRING REAL STORY OF FAITH, COURAGE, AND SURVIVAL and WOLVES AT THE DOOR: THE TRUE STORY OF AMERICA'S GREATEST FEMALE SPY, both of which are about ordinary people who showed exceptional heroism.
A film adaptation of the latter has been optioned. Pearson is the founder of Courage Concepts, a non-profit that encourages women to be courageous. She gives seminars and keynotes for businesses and organizations. She realized what life is actually about after overcoming an unexpected life struggle. Judy and her husband moved back to their picturesque small home town on the shores of Lake Michigan a few years ago.
She's still climbing trees.
