Doing the Washing by Sarah Garland

Sarah Garland's classic series of pre-school books look at every aspect of busy, noisy, muddly family life. In Doing the Washing we join the family as they load up the washing machine, hang up the wet clothes and enjoy a well-earned story and cup of tea when all the work is done.
There is much to wonder in the everyday lives of children, which is captured wonderfully by Sarah GarlandWell illustrated and represents very real families in their busy noisy, muddled but lovelable and endearing lives. The simple sentences and familiar phrases correlate directly with the text making them ideal reading for emergent readers. EYE
