John Brooks (1920-1993) was an award-winning writer best recognized for his work as a financial journalist for the New Yorker. He also wrote 10 nonfiction books about business and finance, including some critically acclaimed works about Wall Street and corporate America. Once in Golconda, The Go-Go Years, and Business Adventures are all considered classics. Brooks published three novels and wrote book reviews for Harper's Magazine and the New York Times Book Review, however he is most known for his financial articles.
