Identifies the meaning of objects, animals, people, and events observed in dreams.Tom Corbett is an emeritus senior scientist and an affiliate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Institute for Research on Poverty, where he worked as an associate and acting director for a decade until retiring. He earned a doctorate in social welfare from the University of Wisconsin and spent many years there teaching various social policy and program assessment courses. He collaborated with governments at all levels over his long academic and policy career, including a time in Washington, DC, when he assisted in the development of President Clinton's welfare reform legislation. He has authored dozens of publications and reports on poverty, social policy, and human-services concerns, as well as giving hundreds of presentations on these topics across the country. Dr. Corbett has also consulted with a number of municipal, state, and federal officials in the United States and Canada on various poverty, welfare, and human-services concerns.
He has spoken before Congress, worked with the Wisconsin Legislature on major legislation, and served on a National Academy of Sciences expert panel, among other things. The author now resides in Madison, Wisconsin, with his wife of 44 years, Mary Rider, and their adorable shih tzu dog, Rascal.
