The Driver by Alexander Roy
A memoir of the author that shows you his highly modified BMW M5 car, takes you on a terrifying 120 mph lap of Manhattan, and tackles the Gumball 3000 and the Bullrun - the two most infamous road rallies in the world. It is filled with insane driving and the author's quest to win both for his late father and himself.
A thoroughly entertaining read, the book is made all the more compelling by Roy's articulacy and honesty in describing his own emotions and his motivation to race * Boys Toys *
The Driver is a cracking read * The Observer *
Absolutely riveting -- Simon Hills * The Times Magazine *
