Peg Kehret works as both a playwright and a novelist. Peg was cast as a hillbilly granny in a one-act play as a freshman in high school. She tried out for every subsequent school play since she had so much fun. She worked backstage if she wasn't cast.

Peg claims she would rather write than do practically anything else, and she has forty-six middle-grade books to her credit, including four theatrical books for children. Peg resides in Washington State with her two grown children and four grandchildren.
